Has any mom here ever given birth in a bath tub (water birth)?

I have heard about this but dont know much about it.Has any mom here ever given birth in a bath tub (water birth)?
yeah, actually no...what triggers a baby's necessity for breath...actaully air, is when they open their mouth for the first time and oxygen acutally hits the back of their throat....

IF they are waterbirthed....it is like they are going from one womb to another...in water.

They dont just let it float around and stuff like that....

It's very safe, otherwise doctors and hospitals wouldn't do it.

If my hospital had a birthing tub fascility, I would totally do it.Has any mom here ever given birth in a bath tub (water birth)?
Minni Mouse is talking RUBBISH...hospitals would not risk babies in that way....ask your doctor, they can be very wonderful experiences.
Hey,

I haven't yet, but i plan to do so. I've had quite a lot of pain lately, im 33 nearly 34 weeks. I realised that bathing helps the pain i get into, so hopefully by having a water birth i will help myself with the pain! Also, i was scared by the look of the delivery room. :) It basically involves you either being in the water throughout the contractions, or the birth, or both. I plan to stay in the water untill hes out, and i think its great. The only thing is your pain relief is limited, i think you can only have gas and air..

xxx
don't do it when a baby is starting to come out and the water is broken the time is ticking for their first breath

when a water birth is given to the mom the baby may die because they drown from the lack of o2
