Chipping Paint in the Bath Tub?

Im renting an appartment... and Both of our tubs in the bathrooms are chipping what looks to be paint on the bottom of the tub (where you sit) and Im wondering what to do about it.

I need something really cheap and convenient because the only reason i want to fix it is because i dont want it to go against my deposit.Chipping Paint in the Bath Tub?
There is a product the Xim makes called ';tile doc.'; It is a two-part gloss epoxy for refinishing tubs. Price on that though is going to be about 30 dollars for the smallest amount - I believe.Chipping Paint in the Bath Tub?
My guess would be that your landlord had the bathtubs resurfaced before you moved in. I just bought a house and the people we bought it from had it done to ours, too. Unfortunately, they didn't leave us any care instructions, so now it's chipping left and right. The DIY kits don't work very well.

Basically when a tub is resurfaced, they sand off the old enamel and paint a fresh coat of white high gloss paint over it.

Rules for Re-Surfaced Tubs:

-NEVER wash with Comet or any abrasive cleaner. Use Dawn dish soap or something mild like that.

-Dry out the tub after each use.

-Do not use mats with suction cups.

-Be careful not to drop shampoo bottles and things as they will scrape off the paint.

Notify your landlord. It's not really your fault. Re-surfaced tubs are more visually appealing than functional. The job doesn't last long.
