Mom's at what age did you feel comfortable leaving your child in the bath tub unsupervised?

just curiousMom's at what age did you feel comfortable leaving your child in the bath tub unsupervised?
We live in a SMALL house and I started doing it at about 18 months. I kept the door open and instead of filling the bath I would just let her play with running water, Obviously checking on her! Now she is 2 and I let her take baths...

I also want to add it depends on the child! My sister is 2 and she started at 1 yr ols. (yes my mom and I were preggers together :) She has older kids around her and she wass walking at 6 months, and potty trained at 1yr old. You know your child BEST! If you don't trust them by themselves... then you shouldnt do it!Mom's at what age did you feel comfortable leaving your child in the bath tub unsupervised?
no certain age but when they can no how to hold their breath and when they can get in and out them selves, not saying i would let them but it would be a good way to no that if they fell they would be strong enough to pull them selves up. my son is four and i still watch him because he is unable to climb out himself...he is strong enough the tub is just to tall, plus its when we talk about our days......my daughter is almost 2 (in june) and i would NEVER risk leaving the room for a second! that is a bad age to leave them alone...SHAME ON YOU MOMS THAT DO!!! they get into to much and are up and down to much to be left alone in a tub! yes my son (4) i will go answer the phone or whatever but i am right back there to finish our talk.
It's not so much about the age, it's about strength.

My daughter will only be left unnattended in a bath when her arms are big enough to grab both sides of the bath and pull herself up.

Otherwise, it only takes an inch and a minute.

Which isn't a lot or very long.

Personaly, until they can pull themselves up, you have to be there all the time to do it for them.
I leave my 3.5 year-old in the bath like... mmmm right now. I am on the computer, right next door, I can hear everything and I make light conversation to make sure his head is above water...

It's the ';supervised'; unsupervised version. I would never venture downstairs to make a coffee or answer the door though. Well, at least not yet!
I wouldn't. Muyy dad's friend lost his grandchild to a bath tub.

The mother left him alone and he almost drowned. There was an inch of water in the bath tub. He was like 2 years old and he was sitting and went in face first and it was 2 slippery to pull himself up.
2 and a half when he could speak really well!! I would check on him every 5 minutes and if i was busy i would call his name and just ask him what he was doing... i didnt put much water in the tub
When they were about 2 and a half. Because they could speak really well but i always stayed near the bathroom just in case of anything.
about 18 months with only a small amount of water and constant check ups. i only went as far as the next room where i could see her
