It could be. Are you using a new baby wash, or lotion or detergent? If so it could be any one of those but it is possible that it's the tub. My 5 month old likes to just be in the tub, he hasn't had a baby bath. You could try a few days like that and see if it goes away.My 5 month old baby has a rash on his chest %26amp; belly. He got a new plastic blow up bath tub. Is it the plastic?
Plastic usually doesn't give rashes, latex usually does. My babys bathtub has latex on it and shes allergic to it so we lay a towel down in it before putting her in. good luckMy 5 month old baby has a rash on his chest %26amp; belly. He got a new plastic blow up bath tub. Is it the plastic?
Well...stop using the plastic blow up bath tub and if it goes away then yes, if not then no. Also, my daughter gets this sometimes but for her its heat rash from being to warm or sweating..dunno if that may be the case for your baby too.
Did you change anything like laundry soap, bath wash, bubble bath, did he get a new shirt, or stuff like that. Think about all the things that come in contact with his chest and belly. If the blow up tub is the only thing try scrubbing it down with some of his bath wash, there may have been something in it that irriated his skin. I doubt its the plastic or he would have it more that just on his chest and belly. If he was leaning on it it could have caused kind of like a carpet burn. ( I know this because when I ride the wave runner and its really rough waters, I hang on with my legs and when I get home I have a rash on the insides of both my legs.)
it could be or it could be your laundry detergent, the baby wash your perfume smoke on your clothes if you smoke the material; of his blanket or the plastic on his tub could be bpa or latex and could be bothering him but why would you bath the baby on his tummy his tummy should not be touching the tub so its probably not the tub.
How often do you bathe him? Some babies get a rash from the soaps and lotions and can't handle over-bathing. You only need to wipe them down with water most times and bathe a couple of times a week.
I advise you to go to the doctor-and i don't think plastic gives rashes? :s
It could be. Keep it away from him for a week, and see if it goes away. Then expose it to him again, and see if he gets the rash again.
