As long as you don't soak too long, you should be fine. After having a C-Section, when is it safe to take a tub bath?
It took me about 2 weeks to start feeling better after the c-section. But I waited pretty much until 6 weeks because you have to use those lower muscles to stand up after a bath and I didn't want to take any chances of me getting hurt or anything. But after 6 weeks I took a bath all the time, just made sure I didn't use any perfumey stuff. Just got regular antibacterial bar soap and let it soak in the tub so it can kill germs. Havn't had any problems with my incision and it's been 11 weeks now. How long ago did you have your csection? After having a C-Section, when is it safe to take a tub bath?
I started taking tub baths the same day they took my staples out. Just remember that it's alot harder getting out of the tub than it is out of the shower. Do not fill the water too high where your incision is submerged. Make sure you keep your incision clean and dry. Everyone will think I am insane, but I would beg my husband to pour rubbing alcohol on my incision. Yes, it burned like fire, but when it would start to itch during the healing process I couldn't scratch it. The alcohol not only cleaned it, it also took the itch away.
I had disolvable stitches.. The nurses at the hospital actually helped me get to the shower the day after I had my baby. I just had to make sure I cleaned the incision good and dried it good when i was done. 3 1/2 months later Im fine :)
I wouldn't let your incision soak in the water. Wait until it heals up first!
it should be fine i took baths after my c-section. just don't soak too long. take a 15min bath and enjoy it.
