What does sitting in a freezing bath tub filled with ice do? I know gymnists do it? And i saw it on stick it..

ThanksWhat does sitting in a freezing bath tub filled with ice do? I know gymnists do it? And i saw it on stick it..
well it helps relieve sore muscles, and also bc its so cold u end up tightening muscles, which is turn helps tighten your abs. its an uncomfortable thing to do bc of course no one wants to sit in ice, but if your whole body is sore and tight, a bath of ice will do the trick! and tabby obviously hasnt done gymnastics for very long if she doesnt know about it....What does sitting in a freezing bath tub filled with ice do? I heard that Hugo Weaving had to do that after filming the Matrix, on medical advice - they take a lot of damage when they do their own stunts. Sounds horrible, must do some good!

I have a good friend who does it for diabetic neuropathy.

You don't want to sit in a tub. You put an affected limb in ice if injured. But you can easily harm it if you put it in too long without insulation.
it helps when you get hurt- it releaves the muscles.. and it helps in general when you are sore from working out your muscles.. they work like no other medication... trust me.. ive had MANY MANY of them! i like them.. they help with my shin-splints too.!!

oh and Tabby- get a life please. yes they do. the good gymnasts atleast.....
It gets you very very cold.
I think it helps reduce the swelling of injuries.
Well i think that it helps you when you are soar because some times when i am soar i do that and it makes some of the pain go away
It help bring down the swelling to injuries, also it tighten's your skin.
its to help injuries and muscle aches. tabby obviouly isnt a very experienced gymnist if she doesnt know that.
gymnasts dont! im a gymnast and i dont. and you would freeze to death.
no idea
