Cleaning a fiberglass bath tub.?

my son finally moved out. yea, just kiddin. the bath tub in his room has black spots in it, this is not mold, soap scum or mildew, the tub is fiberglass or material insert, not cast iron. How do i clean it up without replacing it.Cleaning a fiberglass bath tub.?
try using soft scrub deep clean foaming cleanser. i use it to clean my fiberglass tub. any time i have a stain or something in my bathroom this stuff works wonders!Cleaning a fiberglass bath tub.?
The best thing to use is Baking Soda %26amp; Comet. Get you a real good cleaning brush and scrub the Baking Soda and Comet in with warm water. Only allow the water to cover the bottom of the tub (you do not wat to use a lot of water). Scrub, scrub, scrub. It will be white again, promise.
Sounds like some kind of stain.


try some dish soap and elbow work with a nylon scrub sponge..then some peroxide,repeat. If you see it lifting just repeat. the step above. might take some time and elbow work.





You may want to try Quick N Brite if the soap and peroxide is not working.





to keep future stains from getting a toehold apply a light amount of liquid car wax andbuff /polish........Be careful surface will be slippery with the car wax application.(follow directions for setting time) Holds up for a year in my house.


You can use this on some ceiling fans to keep dust from clinging..
For fiberglass tubs that have have a matte finish I recommend a powdered scrub that should not scratch the finisih.If you can find a cleaner that is on the acid side it will solubilize the metal ions and allow them to be removed and rinsed away.Check Boatlife.com and search for their hull cleaner.
