Is it OK to bath WITH your dog in the same tub?

I know this is a weird question. We're having a debate over it. Thanks!Is it OK to bath WITH your dog in the same tub?
Sure thing. I was taking a bubbly bath one time and one of mine came and jumped INTO the tub....dont think he realized the bubbles were not a solid surface, LOL Ive also had them come in and want to sit on the side of the tub and when they fall in, they go ahead and get a bath...LOL


At dog shows alot of times I will jump in the shower and wash the dog, then myself while getting ready.Is it OK to bath WITH your dog in the same tub?

I wouldn鈥檛 recommend it, especially if they鈥檙e dirty.





With my husky, I鈥檒l run a bath for her, and I鈥檒l stand up in the bath with her, while I鈥檓 in my swimsuit. Never in the nuddypants, lol.


Sometimes I鈥檒l need to crouch down to wash her undercarriage and she鈥檒l push me over so I fall into the water, cheeky dog.





I always shower myself afterwards, regardless of how much water I end up getting on me.





I would never willingly bathe with my dogs. My puppy keeps trying to join me when I have a shower, but I鈥檓 too afraid of water getting in his ears, so I have to keep shoo-ing him, haha.
Depends; does the dog like baths?


Is there room for you both in the tub?





My dog always liked baths, but liked to frolic, so I'd have to shut him in the bathroom, set up the grooming table in the shower stall, and put on a swimsuit. The whole room ended up wet, but he and I had fun, and he'd be clean when we were done.





I'd send him downstairs for my mom to dry him off and I'd clean the bathroom and take a shower so I could get clean.





(a) If you're bathing the dog, you won't be clean when you're done.


(b) If you're bathing yourself and the dog wants to participate, you'll end up bathing the dog. See (a)
So, when I bathe my dog I get in the shower with her. Her shampoo has to soak for 10 min. so while its soaking I bathe myself. But if you are actually in a bath tub with the dog sitting beside you, that its messed up! Depends how old you are too. Under 10, I would say its ok as long as the dog is clean.
Probably wont kill you. Don't know what it could do to the dog though. : )


Maybe you could give the dog a pre-bath and pre-rinse. Then get in with him and finish off with a shower.
take a bath? kinda gross. My dad actually takes a shower with my dog (german shorthair) from time to time. It cleans her off without having to drag out the hose and having to hold her down. hope it helps :)
I sure wouldn't want to. It's not the most sanitary thing but it's not dangerous as long as the dog doesn't have a contagious infection or some other illness.
I don't see any harm in it; unless he's been rollling in pig dung or chicken dung... but don't know how you will get any bathing done, with your doggie trying to splash and play all the time... :)
I'm sure the dog wouldn't mind. They love you no matter how wet you are. :)
Bathing with it is sorta freaky but in the same tub why would that be a problem? Just clean it up.

NO. bathing with ur dog in the tub is unsanitary. do you know what comes off of dogs while their submerged? that includes DOG HAIR
im pretty sure its ok but i don't recommend it especially if there dirty
Bath is a little weird, but a shower doesn't seem so bad.
wouldn't you feel creepy being naked near an animal?
It's a good way to get hurt in unusual places.
