How to remove tough scaling from the ceramic tiles and bath tubs?

I have tried strong acids and other stain removers available in the market but nothing works. these are tough scales formed due to hard water.How to remove tough scaling from the ceramic tiles and bath tubs?
Have you tried C L R? Had the same problem. Used a Teflon scrubbing pad (so as not to scratch the surface) and a little elbow grease. Rinsed and reapplied, worked great! Read the container before you buy, to see if you can use on the surfaces you're trying to clean! i use this product called Mr. Muscle. It works...
extra grit steel wool or razor blades.
