Other than using your fingers/hands, this is probably THE most common way for a girl to masturbate. The only cautions are to not let air get trapped inside you as that can cause a problem. Assuming that you are letting the water run on you to cause the reaction you want and not rubbing against the faucet, this is perfectly safe and very sanitary. Have fun!Is masturbating with the bath tub faucet dangerous?
Not unless you get it hung up in the faucet. Is masturbating with the bath tub faucet dangerous?
Nope, it's fine. Better than using some dirty toy which can harbor bacteria. I have been doing it for years, with no problems.
Masturbation with the bath tub faucet is not dangerous at all. I do it everyday and I have never hurt anything. Masturbation can be safe and clean while using the faucet..there is never any clean up afterwards either you can simply put the faucet on you and away goes everything. Good Luck with your masturbation and have fun!
do you really want to take the chance?
No, as long as you do not get water inside of you. Water being forced inside of you can cause damage.
Only if you are directing water into your vagina. If you aren't then, it's probably fine. I wouldn't insert it anywhere though.
Ouch i'm not quit sure how that would work anyway
It is a wonderful place to grow bacteria and fungi, leading to yeast infections as well as urinary tract infections. You might find a vibrator safer.
Depends on how hard you rub on the faucet.
that's kind of bazaar, but whatever floats your boat
That's sick.
Seriously.
You need help.

Where do you find accessories for the bath tub for handicapped use to get out easier installed by yourself.?
In any store that sells home health care items.
However, you should first be assessed by a professional to see not only the types of devices that you need but the specific measurements as well. The right type of devices, but of the wrong size, etc., are just as dangerous as not using them at all, if not more so. That professional is an occupational therapist. An OT will also help you to find the right products and to find any funding assistance that may be available to you.
Ask your doctor for a referral.
like a home depot store...pharmacy will send you in the right direction.
any home improvement store will have what you need.
Both Lowes and Home Depot have what most people need. If you need something specific you can look at a medical supply store.
I found a lot of things at Lowes Hardware store
Actually I have seen them on Ebay believe it or not. Also look on ask.com for a pharmacy supply company

How big is your bath tub? is it big enough so you can lie back and stretch your feet fully?
or do you have to bend your legs? How big is your bath tub? is it big enough so you can lie back and stretch your feet fully?
Yes - I has one specially made for me - it's six and a half feet long so I can really stretch out and relax in it. Handy for drowning myself should I ever get depressed too ! ! !How big is your bath tub? is it big enough so you can lie back and stretch your feet fully?
Yes I can lie back. It's a ball and claw bath tub. I hate it!
Although I have a nice big house, my bathtub is smaller than my friend's who lives in a mobile home. I can't stretch anything and its the old kind of fiberglass that is hard to clean. A big porcelain tub is one of my luxury dreams!
I love my tub. It's a big corner tub enough for 2 people to stretch out It's got candle holders and sheer romantic curtains around it where my honey and me can sit back and enjoy a drink after a long day. I've got a seperate shower so I don't have to break my back cleaning the tub every day.

You need to start allover again with another doctor. Get a new MRI to see where you are and maybe some new lab work. You need to be re-evaluated...seriously and don't take NO for an answer. Your health and well-being depends on it.dermatologist acne

My small dog is afraid of running water and bath tubs?
My Yorkie is very scared of running water and bath tubs. Everytime I try to give him a bath, he runs away. When I put him in the tub, he is very anxious and whines and trys to get out. He ends up making a huge mess. I want him to not be afraid. Help!My small dog is afraid of running water and bath tubs?
Oh I love this question. My dog has the same problem. I think its because she was on the streets during her puppyhood and she always made a mess! What we did to avoid the mess is that we tied her to a fence pole outside and sprayed her with the hose. After that when it started to get cold outside, we gave her baths inside and she did fine. Just give her a little time, she'll came around! Good luck!My small dog is afraid of running water and bath tubs?
Try the kitchen sink use a plastic cup, if you have a double sink fill both sides with water before you put your pup in. Use the cup and clean water from opposite sink to rinse. No running water the sink won't feel as big and she's closer to you, feeling safer.
probably...he hates water...i think its natural...my dogs too have the same problem...they hate water...
put just a bit of water in the tub, enough to cover his feet. Put a rug or heavy towel on the bottom. sit in the tub with him.
the dog is scared of anything new, especailly if it makes noise and feels strange.
I had my house retiled and my litlle dog was afraid to step on the tiles.

How can I remove the drain stoppers in my bath tubs?
All of the tubs in my home have those drain stoppers that you step on to close and drain the tub. My tubs are always slow draining because the least little bit of hair (and I have LONG hair) will stop them up. I want to remove the stoppers. Does anyone one know how?How can I remove the drain stoppers in my bath tubs?
Once you take the cap and gasket off the cartridge should have a large slot for a screwdriver in it. Unscrew it. Remove hair from body of stopper and re-install.How can I remove the drain stoppers in my bath tubs?
Try turning them counter clockwise when the stopper is up. It should unscrew.
Clamp on a vice-grip pliers and yank it out!

Do you fart when having a bath in the tub?
I do cos I love the bubbles when it's a big fart =)Do you fart when having a bath in the tub?
I love when they run up your back and tickle youDo you fart when having a bath in the tub?
The best thing to do is take a glass / cup with you into the bath, turn it upside down under water, and catch the bubbles in it. Then push it to the bottom of the bath, and slide it up the side of the bath, without letting any of the bubbles escape, and then leave it on the side of the bath. A few hours later somebody will pick it up, and get a nice surprise.
Did you know that the pressure of the fart in the bath is equal to the pressure of the water displaced
No, but my boyfriend does and it ******* stinks.
I'd like to do it myself as the bubbles are quite pretty but i do not want to be a hypocrite and the smell makes me feel sick!
what is a girl to do :(
Well, sounds a little odd that u like the bubbles of your fart...but hey whatever rocks your boat...I like bubbles from soap...not farting.
Yes and I bite the bubbles too. Cause I'm a poop-snard.
yep if I fancy a jazcussi
Yeah, anyone up for a hotub? :) :)
all this farting and you are still full of hot air
LMFAO

Would it be weird to put my goldfish in the bath tub with me and swim around with them ?
i will have goggles and a snorkel if that mattersWould it be weird to put my goldfish in the bath tub with me and swim around with them ?
Just don't crush them with your big dick ....
Haha your answer was funnyWould it be weird to put my goldfish in the bath tub with me and swim around with them ?
Why don't you just put on your goggles and snorkel and stick your head in the fish tank?
Actually swimming with goldfish is fun. When I was a kid the neighborhood pool had a big 4th of July party every year and one of the activities was they would throw hundreds of goldfish in the pool and we would have to go in and catch them. If you weren't quick enough they would die of chlorine poisoning. It was so much fun. One year I caught 4!
go ahead until your goldfish decided to poop at you
Only if they're naked :)
that is a summary of my saturday nights
haha yea
thats kinda gross
just dont put soap in the water.
cool :-D i wanna do that!!

Bath Tub Blues?
If i put blue food coloring in a bath tub and get into it is that bad for my skin? Will it turn me blue? Will it turn my bath tub blue?Bath Tub Blues?
I've never met such a hardcore smurf fanBath Tub Blues?
Yes it will turn both your skin and your tub blue
It won*t harm your skin, but you would probably need bleach to get it out of your skin and your tub which would harm your skin very much.
Have you ever tried getting egg dye off your skin;? That should give you a clue. Why on earth would you want to do that?
If your tub is plastic or porcelain (most tubs are) then it will stain most likely! Any areas where you have any soap residue will likely stain more vigourously.
Also, If you've ever gotten food coloring on yourself during a project, you'd see it does indeed stain skin. Not forever, but it does stain. If you were to put it in your bath, you would certainly come out blue where ever the water was touching your skin.
Do you want to be blue? Or did you just want the water to be blue. There are many bath salt type products, you can find them at Wal-mart even. (I dont know the name of a specific product) that will stain your water blue, without leaving the tub and your skin blue.
Good Luck!
no
no
and usually no
just wondering WHY you'd put food coloring into your bathtub?
you might get a blue tinge on your skin.
no no and no.
food coloring is a water based product
just use scrubbing bubbles o nthe bath, and soap on your skin .
we eat food coloring daily, in sweets, snacks ,bread even
panic over lol
I WOULD THINK SO , unless temporarily.
Food coloring will turn you and your bathtub blue. I wouldn't try it. I used to use Calgon bubble bath and that turned the water blue, pink, purple, etc.

How do i fix my bath tubs faucet?
I cant get the water to turn off.How do i fix my bath tubs faucet?
I am guessing that you have two knobs on this bathtub. First turn off the water to the house. Know remove the knobs. You should see the packing nut hex. Remove this, and then the stem will be able to be removed. Replace the rubber washer on the stem and re-assemble in reverse. How do i fix my bath tubs faucet?
If you can't get the water off with the shut off valve at the tub, then turn it off at the main. Usually in the basement or outside of your home at a meter.
your going to have to shut off the main valve. then remove the stem on the faucet thats leaking and replace the seat and the seal.
Turn it off outside. This will usually turn the whole house off.
Sometimes it is best to buy new faucets instead of trying to fix old sets.dermatologist acne

I get hot water every place but my upstairs bath tuB ?
My first thought is that your hot water supply valve for the tub is shut off 鈥︹€hen again it would be a bad valve or a malfunctioning fixture.
Have you had hot water previously?
Has anybody worked on the upstairs plumbing?I get hot water every place but my upstairs bath tuB ?
Unlikely but you might have a different hot water system for upstairs and it might be turned off. My best guess is you have one of those gas instant hot water systems but it鈥檚 off. It should be close by like outside on a veranda or in a laundry close to the bath room.I get hot water every place but my upstairs bath tuB ?
if you have a thermostatically controlled tub/shower valve ie Delta monitor, moen positemp, or some other brand, then it can be set so that water will not get above a certain temperature. Most are adjustable. How is depending on which brand.
the second floor riser valve is probably shut off or it was not piped or it just takes a while for the hot water to get there. open just the hot water valve at the tub only for ten minutes and if it is still cold check below
Do you have a mixing valve on the supply? Sometimes the valve goes bad and only allows cold water

How do you get stains off of sinks, bath tubs, and ovens?
I dont know what kind of stains they are but on the sink near to faucet it looks like little scratches with a darker discoloration. The bathtub has a dark discoloration in the middle but it also has like plaster or something that looks like it that they fixed cracks in the tub with so i cant use anything that will eat that up in there. And above the stove wither is alot of old grase spots i cant get off. I have tried kaboom on this stuff and of course it didnt work. What is there that will get all this stuff off?How do you get stains off of sinks, bath tubs, and ovens?
Mr. Clean Magic Erasers work great on most surfaces without scratching. How do you get stains off of sinks, bath tubs, and ovens?
oxy clean gets even the tougest stains!
that guy said so remember?
I always clean bathroom and kitchen with Comet. It's a little abrasive so you may want to get the Comet gel to use in touchy spots.

yeah, you shouldn't bleed while ur in the water, so go ahead and do whatever it is you gotsta do!!
when your sitting down in a tub or chair
the flow of your period becomes less.
so taking a bath won't hurt you and it
often helps you relax if you have cramps
or backach from your time.
yes, when in the tub (or pool for most girls) there is much less flow :) i wouldnt stay in forever though just to be on the safe side.
I take baths to help with cramping..ow
You're sick lady!

u can it stops when yer in water
I don't see why not. I guess that would depend on whether or not bathing in your blood bothers you.

I dropped my phone in the bath tub, while giving my niece a bath. yeah, i know im an idiot.?
but what are ways to get it to work again. ??
please help me.
thank youI dropped my phone in the bath tub, while giving my niece a bath. yeah, i know im an idiot.?
Let it dry out for a while.
Try to charge it and see if it turns on.
It might but I'm not guaranteeing that it will work.
If you don't want to spend a lot of money on a new phone,
ask around
'n see if people have old phones with the same company
(verizon, AT%26amp;T, etc.)
you may be able to just use that phone,
until you save enough money to get a new one!
Sorry!I dropped my phone in the bath tub, while giving my niece a bath. yeah, i know im an idiot.?
Pop the battery and the sim card and mop up any moisture with paper towels or tissue. Put it in a warm dry place (the airing cupboard) for 48 hrs before re-assembling it and trying it again. My daughter was great at sending phones scuba diving (her best effort was a pint of lager) and we had some success with the above method. Unfortunately even if the phone does work initially it can fall foul of corrosion at a later date.
well depending on the phone it may work again and it may not.
try opening everyhting up and blowdrying it. but use warm or cool not hot.
also i did the same only it was a glass of water my juke nvr worked again. so it just depends.
put it in some rice. let it dry out. Depending on the extent of the damage it'll half *** work or it wont work at all. Good luck.
please help me.

I do not want to sound like an idiot when I venture into Lowes and Home Depot. I love this type of bath tub and would love to have one in my master bath.
Is it very expensive to install and what has been your experience with the tub if you have one??What is the proper name for bath tubs with the little feet?
I have an old tub with feet...its called a ';claw foot tub';.What is the proper name for bath tubs with the little feet?
Hello,
See here for the answer and further details:
http://www.uktradestreet.com/advice/cast-iron-baths.php
They tend to be cast-iron baths with claw feet. It is not too expensive to install.
Why not post your project on uktradestreet and some local approved plumbers will give you a bell and a free quote too.
Good Luck
It is called a clawfoot tub. Have no experience installing them, however!
Clawfoot tub. They are HEAVY, but that's the original's. People in my area have used them for fishtanks, and to feed stock,(cattle, horses, etc.)! An average clawfoot is about five feet long, 31 inches wide, and 19 inches deep,(19 inches: actual area inside, not total, from one of the feet to the rim). This is in a house probably built in 1906, or so. I re-did the porcelian with a kit from Lowe's, and gasped at their prices for clawfoot tubs! You could find an original, in good to excellent shape for $500.00, or less here,(run into a farmer, who has one in an old house, and get it for a lot less! LOL!) I'm not much for relaxing in a bath, busy schedule dictates using the shower,(Chrome support ring, suspended by two thin chrome threaded rods from ceiling, shower curtain wraps around the support ring). It's a very basic hookup, two chrome pipes come out of the floor, with 'beauty rings' around them for the hot, and cold water, and a larger chrome pipe, for the drain. I suggest at least six inches of clearance around the tub, on the end, and side that you will not enter. For those who like to soak in a tub, this is for you! If whirlpool jets enter the equation, you're in heaven,(or pretty close! LOL!) As for expensive to install, whew! Depends on your area, whether or not you have removed the original tub, and have the area 'prepped', how hard it is to remove original tub, and to bring in the new one,(is it going upstairs?)
claw foot
These are very old bathtubs and you sure aren't going to find one at Home Depot or Lowe's! They're antiques!!! Try an antique store, one that specializes in home furnishings.
If it is the white tub with little feet is called an iron claw tub. My cousin has one at his house. I think they are neat and could really accentuate a bathroom.

dunno but bubble baths are not good for womens' health---also sitting in a tub full of germs is not good---i would never put my bare vagina on the surface of a tub---ewwwwww
I love that too!!When I take a bath my bath does that too!! But I have a bubble bath machine and it hooks on to the side and I plug it in. If you get one of these and just any other bubble bath solution your bath should be all bubbly like mine!! You can get one of these machines from Wal-mart for about 20 I think!! Goood Luck!!

Resurfaced bath tub and vanity question?
I had my bath tub and vanity (counter/sink as one) resurfaced as the original surfaces were completely unusable due to cracking/pitting, etc.
The only problem I am having is that this surface is not very ';slick'; like normal sinks and bath tubs are and there is ALWAYS residual hairs, etc left in the sink/tub.
Anything I can do to remedy this? Resurfaced bath tub and vanity question?
I used to work for a refinisher. The finish should be just like a new unit, if not better, and certainly there should not be any ';hairs'; left (by this, I'm assuming you mean small lines in the surface and not actual hair). Some tubs are refinished and a ';non-slip'; finish is put on the bottom (kind of like an orange peel look), and this should be shiny as well. I'm not sure what happened in your units, and I would call the (hopefully) licensed, refinisher back. If it is a reputable company, they will come out and fix it. Good luck - LT

you have to be careful with porcelain. dont use abrasive cleaners like comet and ajax they will scratch or damage the surface...try oxy clean. it actually does work. or hot wter and bleach. fill the sink and let it set for 10-15 mins first then scrubWhat is best way to clean porcelain sinks and bath tubs?

Where can I find abandoned bath tubs?
I have an idea for a photo shoot and it requires a classic bath tub.
Any ideas?Where can I find abandoned bath tubs?
try the www.freecycle.org group in your area.Where can I find abandoned bath tubs?
try looking in the country side they have lots of antiques, especially in Pennsylvania, they usually have signs that say Antiques for sale
Ask (and look) around at local kitchen and bath design centers. They might come across one that they are removing from a home, or maybe they have a display you can ';shoot with'; - providing it can be done in their store.
Also auctions and estate sales sometimes have the oddest offerings...
In a paddock...but then again they're not abandoned if they are used to feed some cattle somewhere!
However, a rubbish dump or recycling yard may have one but now a days you have to pay for them...it's called recycling!
Then again you could take one off the foot path at kerb-side rubbish days...ask the owner first cos once it's on the footpath i think it belongs to the council!

If a crown weighing 4 lb 13 oz displaces 186 mL water when placed in a bath tub is the crown made of pure gold?
note: d = 19.3 g/cm^3If a crown weighing 4 lb 13 oz displaces 186 mL water when placed in a bath tub is the crown made of pure gold?
4lb 13 oz = 2.18291328 kg
186 mL = 186 cm^3
2.1829328 kg = 2182.9328 g
density of gold is 19.3 g/cm^3, and 2182.9328/186 is 11.7361978 g/cm^3 so it鈥檚 not gold.If a crown weighing 4 lb 13 oz displaces 186 mL water when placed in a bath tub is the crown made of pure gold?
Convert the given mass to grams, and divide by 186mL, if it's close to gold's density (19.3 g/mL), then it probably is gold.
Based on the information given, the density of the crown is 11.74 g/mL so no, it's not pure gold.
4 pounds X 454 grams/ pounds + 13 oz X 28.3 grams/ oz = grams
divide that # 0f grams by 186cc for the density of the crown
you do the math
4lb 13 oz = 2.18291328 kg
186 mL = 186 cm^3
2.1829328 kg = 2182.9328 g

Why does my bath tub not drain properly?
As already stated, hair is the most likely culprit. Go to Walmart, Lowes, or home depot, and purchase a ';Zip-it';. It costs about $3, and is very simple to use. Good luck! Why does my bath tub not drain properly?
Hair is probably the culprit, clogging the drain. Take out the drain plug and fish an opened up coat hanger with a small hook at the end down through the pipe to grab the hair plug and pull it out.
Soap residue combined with hair cause most of drainage problems.
Another solution is to pour boiling water directly into the drain to dissolve the soap.
If that doesn't work, get some Drano and follow the directions. Don't use lye, it's too dangerous. You can also rent a plumber's snake, chuck it into an electric drill and push it into the drain to loosen and remove the blockage. Why does my bath tub not drain properly?
mmerobin has a good answer. if you use a snake don't run it down the drain. it could catch on the stopper. remove the plate just above the tub drain, it probably has the stopper on it, just take your time. run your snake down the opening, its a more direct run to the main drain pipe. please take your time electric snakes are strong and can damage the pipes and yourself if you force it or go to fast.
sounds like a clog, you can use a commercial drain opener or try a cup of baking soda, followed by a cup of vinegar down the drain, let that foaming solution work for 1/2 hour and flush it with 1/2 to a gallon of boiling water. It worked for me
another possibility is that if you have a house over 75years old you may have galvanized pipes which corrode from the inside and close themselves off.

I have a plastic portable tub. Need an efficient heater to heat my bath w/o using big tank heaters.?
Dun mind considering any safe alternative heater.I have a plastic portable tub. Need an efficient heater to heat my bath w/o using big tank heaters.?
Small water heaters than run off 110V are sold today but most likely would not provide enough water for a bathtub.
All homes built today (including stick built, modular, manufactured %26amp; RV's) must have tubs or showers. Exactly what are you living in???

Cleaning the bath tub w/ a Magic Eraser?
Does it work? I usually just use hot water, Comet and elbow grease, but I have a friend who swears by the Magic Eraser. Does it get the grayish looking soap scum off the walls of the shower and around the faucet? That's where I have the most trouble. Cleaning the bath tub w/ a Magic Eraser?
YES! The Magic Eraser works wonders on that grayish looking stuff on the floors of the shower! I had tried everything, bleach, scrubbing, etc and nothing worked. Then I tried the Magic Eraser and it was amazing! You should try it, you'll be so surprised!!Cleaning the bath tub w/ a Magic Eraser?
Yes, it does work to get all that off, although beware as it is not good for disinfecting, deodorizing, and cleaning.
To disinfect, clean, and deodorize I would still also keep using your Comet and elbow grease, the comet will kill the germs, while the Magic Eraser just makes it look clean :)
They do an amazing job, really. Totally worth the cost. Usually when I move into a new place it's so grimy I have to use the Magic Eraser to get it clean the first time, and then I keep on top of it with regular washing. It makes everything look new.
Magic Erasers are amazing. I do housekeeping on college restrooms every once in a while, and nothing gets the tough spots like a Magic Eraser.

After using henna to dye my hair, wouldn't rinsing it out in the bath tub (like often suggested) stain my skin?
You don't fill up the tub and climb in, you just kneel on the floor beside the tub and stick your head in under the tap. You can also do it in the kitchen sink and that way you don't have to kneel. After using henna to dye my hair, wouldn't rinsing it out in the bath tub (like often suggested) stain my skin?
Put Vaseline around your hair line because that doesn't let henna or any hair dye stain your skin because it's so greasy it won't allow it.
You could maybe put Vaseline all over your face but that might be risky cause you could get pimples afterwards, so sticking to the hairline would be a better option, I do that and I'm acne prone but it doesn't affect me near the hairline. Just don't get it on your hair or the henna won't be absorbed.
Also, maybe you mum or your friend could help you lean back into the tub and they could use a hand shower to wash away the henna like they do at the salon so it doesn't go all over your face.
Good luck. After using henna to dye my hair, wouldn't rinsing it out in the bath tub (like often suggested) stain my skin?
As long as you aren't in the bathtub you will be fine. just put your head under the faucet and wash it out like that. if you are really worried, you can just be careful to keep the dyed water out of your face.
once you have rinsed it all out, take a shower and wash your hair.
:)
no because water stops the dye process, and you will not have it on your skin long enough to do anything.
I would shower first though or do it in the sink then in the tub because that it a lot of stuff in the hair.http://www.hennacaravan.com/shop/hair.ht鈥?/a>
Probably, but the stain would come out quickly.
Why no try doing a quick rinse in the sink first, to get out most of the excess dye?

Why does my cat sit in the bath tub when no ones looking but when you catch her she acts...?
like she wasnt doing nothing and looks at you like ';well how did i get in here'; and meows realy loud as if to say i ';swear i wasnt drinking from the faucet'; why would she do that? Why does my cat sit in the bath tub when no ones looking but when you catch her she acts...?
Oh, my goodness, she wants to play!
My little one jumps in the bath and we play ';peek-a-boo';, where I say, ';I can see you!'; and she hunkers down so that I can't see her eyes. Then I go up again, she goes down, and we play with a ball that I throw in the bath.
She just wants to play. Throw a ball, or play with a piece of string in the bath until she gets tired! Why does my cat sit in the bath tub when no ones looking but when you catch her she acts...?
That is typical of a cat! I had a cat that did the same sort of thing, what I did was to purchase a fountain drinking system. The cat loved it but also bathed in it as well.
Thats funny my cat do that too but when you catch them they run!!!! We just started to close the bathroom door and they forgot all about it!!!
Cats enjoy being in forbidden places.
I have a cat that does something similar, especially if the bathtub is still real wet after a bath or shower. I always interpreted it as her showing just how daring and brave she is--jumping into a tub that at any time could suddenly have water all over the place! My cat doesn't necessarily want the tap turned on (sometimes she'll drink and usually it's more like biting the water, more often she ignores the tap and just wants to walk around in the wetness or just in the dry tub), she just seems to like to show me that she may be little but she's got guts (sort of like those folks who will lie down in the middle of a highway when it's basically deserted in the middle of the night but during the day is buzzing with traffic).
We have 5 cats, and they wouldn't have it any other way. We keep the tub running at a low drip/stream level. All but one drinks from it.
They also use the water dish when they are really thirsty, but they get so much enjoyment out of the running water. Typically, they will be so proud and walk over to us.. rubbing their wet heads on us. :)
I don't care what my water bill is, if it makes them that happy.. I'm all for it.
Well cats have fur and when its hot they like to sit somewhere cool like the tiles in the bathroom or the bath tub.Dont worry she is cooling herself.
HA HA HA HA! You have a very impressive cat! Its not fun to drink from the fountain if you get caught doing it! You're bath tub is your cat's private watering garden!
My cat prefers drinking from the faucet. When he is thirsty he will jump into the tub and miau until I come and turn it on just a trickle. Then he drinks his fill and leaves. If I were you I would try giving my cat fresher water, or, if you can afford it, one of those fountain drinking dishes that circulate the water all the time.
That's hilarious!
Maybe she prefers running water instead of a water dish.
Thanks for the laugh.
I dont know why shed be like that but my cat buzz sometimes drinks from the tap in the kitchen but sometimes if the sinks empty i turn it on for him.
one of our cats does this also, just sits in the tub in the dark
Hilarious.I catch our kittens in the bath tub. They believe it is okay to do their business in there.
THAT IS SOOOOO FUNNY!!!
I've had several cats over the years, but never experienced one like yours. I had a few that liked too sleep in the bathroom sink, but they never looked guilty when you caught them. I had a kitten who was very curious about the bathtub and would jump up on the edge when I was in it. she finally jumped in one time, seemed very surprised but not upset. Later on I took her to my parents house who had a pool. Put her in and she loved it! She could swim real good too!
As for your cat....Did you scold her when you caught her? Is she allowed to do this? That would be the only reason I could think of. Unless ....
Cats are very smart, Do you think maybe she was embarrassed because cats aren't suppose to like water and knowing this she felt as though she was caught doing an unlikely thing for a cat to do. ?? LOL
Does she have any other strange habits that are ';cat unlikely';? Too bad cats can't talk. I for one would love to hear what your cat had to say!!
Great question
That's hilarious! :) Cats are such entertainment. I don't know why she'd do it other than knowing that she got caught doing something she's not supposed to be doing and has no other way out than to look innocent.
This question cracked me up! :)
I have seven cats and four kittens and my cats love to drink running water. They always have a supply of water but they choose to sit and the tap and meow till i turn the tap on... my cats prefer running water maybe thats your cats problem..... or maybe she wants to take a swim ;)

The white in my bath tub is wearing is there a product i can use tp makw ie white again?
Yes, there is a two part paint-glazing process that you can get @ Lowes in the paint dept. You'll have to make sure your tub is 'squeaky clean' first. No residue of any kind. The directions are on the box. When you are ready to do it, then you mix the parts together and brush it on with a quality paint brush, so it won't leave little lines. It will need to dry and cure for @ least 24- 48 hrs. depending on your temp and or humidity levels. Wear a respirator of some sort. those white throw aways should do the trick. Hopefully you have a window in this bathrm. The fumes are'nt that strong but it would help to have ventilation. You should be happy with the results. When it comes time to clean it, I recommend 'soft scrub w/bleach 'and a rag. No scrubbers! they will scratch. One last thing be sure to get the edges covered real good so water does'nt get up under the painted surface. Watch out for bubbles as you go along. If this is too extreme for you try looking for a porcelain restorer. RoseThe white in my bath tub is wearing is there a product i can use tp makw ie white again?

you can buy a fiberglass cover in white it goes over your tub, but you would have to remove the drain cover and hook it to the cover.
Yes, you can buy a kit at most home improvement stores, but it is a lot of work to reglaze it %26amp; will just last for a few years. Another option is to take it to an auto repair place %26amp; they can do it professionally. My 3 month old puppy (big puppy) always wants to jump in the bath tub with me. Should I let him?
probly not because then you will eventually have a big hairy and WET dog in the tub with you. And in case you don't know...wet dog, usually isn't a good smell. I would take him some where that he could play in the water though or even get him a baby swimming pool. That would be fun to watch. Play with him in it too! Have fun.My 3 month old puppy (big puppy) always wants to jump in the bath tub with me. Should I let him?
This is all up to you. Allowing this behavior will cause the puppy to think this is okay. If he is truly going to become a large dog, this could become an undesiarble habit. Try leaving the puppy outside the bathroom when you shower if you want to stop this behavior. My 3 month old puppy (big puppy) always wants to jump in the bath tub with me. Should I let him?
no.. if u let him do that thing, he will get used to it.. and he will do that everytime
no because soon he will be a big dog and he will try to jump in then then you won't want him in.

What bubble bath makes the most bubbles in the bath tub but gentle enough for my 8 month old?
I used to pour a little Johnson's baby Wash directly into the bath water. Safe for babies, made bubbles and it made the washing process a bit easier on both of us. My daughter never had a problem with it irritating her genitals and my sons loved it too. What bubble bath makes the most bubbles in the bath tub but gentle enough for my 8 month old?
johnson's bubble bath is the safest!

What bubble bath makes the most bubbles in the bath tub but gentle enough for my 8 month old?
Bubble bath is not recommended for babies.
It can cause bladder infections and other irritations, as well as sting the eyes.
And, as the previous poster said, it's a pain to clean up.
Splashing, or pouring a bucket, or blowing bubbles is just as much fun without the mess or health concerns.
Why do you want more bubbles? They are a pain to rinse all off!

How do u clean an infant bath tub?
I just use antibacertial soap and rinse it good. Then let it air dry completely every night. How do u clean an infant bath tub?
use soap and hot water. =] that always does the trick. and use a towl or spponge.. butt..
dont use a spponge that you used chem. or foods on .its not sanitary!
best of luck. my wishes to ya!How do u clean an infant bath tub?
Do not use any cleaning items that contain bleach, cause you don't want to harm the infants delicate skin.
i rinse ours out with very hot water and dry with a towel...and once in a while i will wash it with baby wash or shampoo...
I used to just take the soapy washcloth I had just washed the baby with, dump the water, then soap it out. Then stick it in the shower, turn the shower on as hot as possible (without you or your hands in there - draw the curtain and reach in just in front of the knob) and let it scald the tub. Turn over very carefully so that it is upside down and let it drain out. Air-dry and you're ready to go.
Just use dish soap %26amp; hot water. Don't use chemicals as they sometimes leave residue.
you can use Clorox sanitize wipes to clean the baby tub then you soap and water to wash the tub and get the residue from the wipes out. works for me .

Bath tub thing?
is it normal when your taking a bath to just piss and let it go into the drain instead of getting out, drying and then sitting on the toilet. i mean they go the same place and plus it may help dilute some clogs in the drain.Bath tub thing?
Its normal.....if your alone.Bath tub thing?
Maybe in the shower; not in the bath; would you want to sit in the toilet and take a bath there???
Why not just go in the toilet before you take your shower?
Well if you re a guy and you sit to piss its really wierd. If you're a chic......does it run down your leg or spray all over your feet? If so do you wash those parts that got pissed on or not?
its just fine if you don't mind urine to wash you face or hair
do when you shower not when you take a bath, your just stewing in it then

Taking a tub bath at 36 weeks?
I know that taking a tub bath while pregnant is okay as long as it's not too hot but i have also heard that most Dr's don't want you to take them after a certain point because if your water breaks you won't know. i go to the dr on thursday for my 36 week and will be asking but i was just wondering if anyone else knew the do's and dont's. sorry this is my first...she is head down ready to go....i'm just a little nervous.Taking a tub bath at 36 weeks?
First.. congrats. =]
Second.. If your water breaks you'll start to have contractions, and you'll know if you're going into labor... Which usually takes a while with the first baby.
Good luck and congrats. =]Taking a tub bath at 36 weeks?
I would take the bath and enjoy it! Also, I think you'd know if your water broke because it's like a gush - you'd feel some random flow between your legs. But, some women don't even know when their water breaks - for instance, if the baby's head is blocking the way for the water to go out, it could trickle out.
Take the bath - you will miss it once your little angel arrives.
Honey you'd have to take a REALLY long bath for you not to notice that your water has broken... and that bath would end with a baby. You leak constantly until your baby is born. Plus, a very small percentage of women have their water break before the onset of actual labor. So, if you're not having active labor contractions, take your bath and fear not. Enjoy it while you can!
if you take one hot as you can stand you can induce labor, which my dr told me to do as soon as i hit 38 weeks. but you can take a bath. if you notice a smell then you probably broke your water but to me a bath is easier while pregnant. just have the dad help you get back up and out of the tub. but to me standing is always painful so the tub feels nice. never been told i couldn't and this is my third kid.
by the way my son's b day is the 5th of Nov. so congrats. i know it is a pain being pregnant all summer. this one is due dec 1st but is about to pop now.
Take the bath! You will know if your water breaks because it will leak continuously after you get out of the bathtub. Many women labor and/or deliver in the water and one bath isn't going to cause any problems. It will relax you and make you feel better - go for it. As you said, not too hot though.
I had baths the whole time.. My waters didnt break until 35mins b4 i gave birth and u will know if they break its like a whole lot of pressure.. i guess every1 is different but thats how it was 4 me.. my bub was head down and ready to go from about 33 weeks so u should b fine.. good luck with ur birth!
I've never heard that you won't know that your water has broke.
I was told not to take a bath after your water breaks. Something about the water being able to spread bacteria.
Enjoy the bath!
The chance that your water will break is pretty minimal. And when your water breaks it usually keeps leaking, so even after you've dried off completely stuff would still be leaking. It's a great way to relax, and I took lots of opportunities to have a nice bath...because it will be a while after having baby that you'll be able to have one. And you aren't full term yet anyways; 37 weeks is full term.
My water did break, but it wasn't in a bath. I actually felt a sort of 'pop' so I think I would have known even if I couldn't feel the water.dermatologist acne

Which brand do you recommend to unclogged a bath tub?
A plumbers snake is best. Cheapest will do. Chemicals can harm the pipes. Sometimes for hair a coat hanger will do.
A great example is when I inspected the sewer drain at a local fast food, (md) the coke from the fountain machine had completely eroded a one inch wide gap all the way to the main in the street.Which brand do you recommend to unclogged a bath tub?

99% of the time, you don't need anything. Just clean the hair off the hair trap. Pull out your stopper and look,,,,

My toilet is pluged, and when I use the plunger the toilet water comes up and out the bath tub drain.?
All you simply have to do is have another person plug the bathtub while you plunge the toilet. Prefferably use another plunger if you have one (with a little water in the tub, if there isn't already, just to form a seal) If no second plunger, use a wet rag to completely cover the drain in the tub and apply pressure. My toilet is pluged, and when I use the plunger the toilet water comes up and out the bath tub drain.?
this could be tricky.don't forget you have a clean pipe on the roof too. it adds about 16 to 20 feet to your snake length. or more if you have a second story house.have you tried all your drains with water? kitchen, washing machine, all sinks, all drains, and all vents. the vents are usually on the roof. not to be confused with heat vents. they are just pipes with no covers. if possible, pressurize all drains and vent pipes. i've used duct tape and two air compressors to blow out my main drain. because i had the same problem as you. but i had no snake, but i did have knowledge of the problem and plenty of pressurized air. now your clean out has to have a cap on it. drill a 3/8 in. hole in the middle of the cap for your air to fit in. air can be forced in, and then it comes back. by doing that over and over you are moving the water(clog) back and forth just like a plunger. or try buy all your Friends plungers, and have them all come over and everyone plunge a drain, vent pipe, sink, something? all at the same time. it's all about getting the water(clog) to move back and forth. or dissolve it with DRANO. or LIQUID FIRE.My toilet is pluged, and when I use the plunger the toilet water comes up and out the bath tub drain.?

Did you have a question?
that just means the plug is in the plumbing after the spot where the toilet and tub hook in. There is often a clean out after that point but prior to the main drain pipe entering into the ground. If you loosen the cap on the clean out and slowly remove it you will quickly learn whether the blockage is before or after that point. If it is before then use a snake from the toilet. If it is after use the snake from the clean out.
You have a clog in the main drain line, after the toilet drain. You need to have it augered out.
the plug is somewhere past where the toilet and tub connect. The drain needs to be snaked.

your main drain line is cloged somewhere....you need to rent a power snake from the hardware store or call someone to clean it out but that could cost you about 200 bucks

What's your favorite bath tub for baby?
My son is 4 1/2 months old and already about 26inchs long, 14lbs. He is too long for the tub we have now (soothing spa and shower). He always slides down the netting and he wants to kick his feet (but he is out grown it). He also can sit up on his own for the most part...any recommendation on a really good tub that he can not only lay in (and not slide down) or sit if he wants? I read reviews but they never really say if the baby they are talking about is a newborn or older...
Thanks! What's your favorite bath tub for baby?
Maybe your son might like a bath seat. My daughter uses it and LOVES it! It is called Aquababy from Buy Buy Baby. It coasts $25 and has suction cups to make sure it doesn't move. It is good practice for sitting up and he will be able to play with bath toys!

When you sit in bath tub of hot water for while does it kills sperms?
It does not necessarily kill them, but fertility is reduced by reducing their motility. See the article I have linked for you.
By the way, heating the testicles should never be used as a form of birth control. When you sit in bath tub of hot water for while does it kills sperms?
It can if you do if for a extended period of time. Wearing tight underwear, excessive alcohol consumption can also kill sperm. When you sit in bath tub of hot water for while does it kills sperms?
Heat... whether water or body heat can reduce the numbers. It isn't going to work as a spermicide, however, so if you are thinking about a hot bath before a date instead of wearing a condom... be prepared for doctor bills,.. sleepless nights and poopy diapers.
;)
and where did you get this question from?
I'm not sure if it kills them but they do say if your trying for a baby to wear loose under clothes and to keep your self cool down there.
I am an alternative medicinal therapist and I've been asked this quesation by a lot of my male clients. Let's be sensible about this shall we, how hot can you stand your bath water? You should only have it just above warm. Sperm are carried outside the body in the testes, I'm sure you know this. They are there for a reason, to keep them cool. Spermatogenesis takes place at a temperature of 3C below normal body temperature. The testes are cooled by their position outside the abdominal cavity and the thin outer covering of the scrotum has very little insulating fat.So yes to hot water can interfere with sperm as can to tighter jeans and underpants.
Gloria J Jones (BSYA-SEN) Alternative@medicine123.wanadoo.co.uk
sure it does..but the point is .....do you need them
The testicles require a specific temperature (slightly lower than that of the body) to produce sperm. This is why they hang ';out'; of the body. So temperature IS a factor on sperm production. Now to think that taking an occasional hot bath will kill them all, is far fetched. It will not make you sterile.
I deduce for your question that you may want to use hot baths as a birth control method (??!!).. please don't, It is NOT one. You could still get a girl pregnant
No
I think that is only in sauna's or jacuzzis or hot tubs, the temperature probably has to be a certain degree also.
No, your sperm can live through a wide range of temperatures

Can you tell this ostrich to get out of my bath tub?
Yes, but his head is in the drain I'll have to yell down the pipe. Can you tell this ostrich to get out of my bath tub?
Well I never known an ostrich that would listen to anyone. Best thing you can do is grab hold of his neck and just give it a good jerk and make him get out of the tub. If that doesn't do it turn on the shower, just cold, and that should run him out. Be sure and don't close the shower door/curtain, you don't want him to enjoy the privacy, you just want him to leave. Good Luck....Can you tell this ostrich to get out of my bath tub?

let's assume your tub is 5 ft x 2.5 ft x 17 '; deep and let's assume the salinity of ocean water is 3.5%... ie 3.5 g NaCl / 100 g seawater ----%26gt; 3.5 g salt / 96.5 g water.
5ft x 2.5 ft x 17 in x (12 in / 1 ft)² x (2.54 cm / 1 in)³ x (1 mL / 1 cm³) x (1 g / mL) x (3.5 g salt / 96.5 g water) x (1 lb / 454g) = 40 lbs salt
that's about one big bag of morton salt (like the bags for a water softener) per tub of water. And yes that will simulate the ';salinity'; of the ocean water.I want my bath water to have the same salt content as the ocean. How many cups of salt for a regular sized tub?
Ocean water has about 3.5% salinity. (1/2 cup for each gallon, I think.) You can buy sea salt at the store.
However there is a lot more going on in the ocean than just salt! Check out this article...really interesting!

I have a refinshed clawfoot tub in soft pink. Can someone help with the rest of the bath.?
The bath is gutted, so it is a clean slate. I need suggestions for floor and walls.I have a refinshed clawfoot tub in soft pink. Can someone help with the rest of the bath.?
Ivory or cream tiles and walls. I'm a true romantic at heart, so I would do that bath in a Shabby Chic style. Lots of roses and lace, make it a ';girly'; bathroom. Pedestal lavatory in a reproduction style, Old looking faucets and light fixtures.I have a refinshed clawfoot tub in soft pink. Can someone help with the rest of the bath.?
Pink with Burgundy is my favorite. You can even pull in some moss green accents (like plants) How about this. Pink tub. Burgundy walls half way (from floor to counter height). A border with pink, greens, and burgundy at the top of the burgundy paint Pink to match the tub from top of border to ceiling. That gives you 3 colors to work with for towels. A neutral tile for the floor that goes with anything like cream.
Get tile for the floor (Grey).
Since the tub is soft pink, paint the baseboard a dark pink and the walls a very nude pink.
Add some shelving to the walls that are reminiscent of old times.
Place wallpaper on one wall only, something that looks old-fashion design. (see note below)
Be sure and buy one of those wrap around shower curtains for your bathtub and don't forget to place a shower in the bathtub as well.
Place antique towel holders on the walls.
You have so many colors you can use with a soft pink tub, you could go from pink to red in various patterns The wallpaper could actually be stripped with various shades of pink to red unless you prefer the use of old antique design instead.
I think white or ivory tile would look great think the color of the tub.
Maybe do a chair rail in white and a pink on the top of the wall.
They are called chair rails in dining rooms but I'm not sure what they would be called in a bathroom.
white tile for the floor its easy to wash and keep clean and a comlimetary color for the walls, dermatologist acne

Bath Tub Grounded?
It's simple curiosity... But is it true that bath tubs (in the UK at least) are all grounded to an earth wire? What for? Does that mean that if some one was to drop electric equipment (say a portable TV) in the bath this would prevent any electrocution?
Thanx :PBath Tub Grounded?
No, tubs are not grounded.
When you are hit by lightning you are grounded, but it is the lightning passing through you that kills you.
Same happens when you become a conductor between your blow drier and your filled tub.
All modern wiring now requires ground fault interrupters at bath and kitchen outlets to stop this from happening.Bath Tub Grounded?
I'm not sure why that would be in the U.K., but grounding the tub will not save you if you're in it when the TV hits the water. In the U.S. grounding is to the cold water pipel

I woke up this morning and there was a zebu in my bath tub, what do do?
its still there and seems healthy, im just worried of what my wife will think when she gets back from her parents tomorrow.I woke up this morning and there was a zebu in my bath tub, what do do?
I suggest you name it and move it to your kitchen sink it will be more comfy there. If your wife asks about it tell her you don't know what she's talking about.I woke up this morning and there was a zebu in my bath tub, what do do?
I reckon you didn't actually wake up.
Use the shower in your other bathroom.
shoot it, chop it up %26amp; eat it, your wife will love it.
Just get it out and put it in a meadow or something.

Im 37 weeks pregnant. Is it ok to have sex in a bath tub?
I would say no. It's generally never a great idea (although we've all been guilty) to have sex in the bathtub. With the warm water and the friction from sex you are potentially opening yourself up to infection.
Honestly, it probably wouldn't be a huge deal, but I wouldn't do it, just to be on the safe side.Im 37 weeks pregnant. Is it ok to have sex in a bath tub?
i would think it is... but i cant really fit in my bathtub and i am 34 weeks.Im 37 weeks pregnant. Is it ok to have sex in a bath tub?
No, It's not, it is unsafe. My friend did it and she had a lot of issues during the birth. So i wont do it.
its more than ok, its fun!
If you want to %26amp; you are not on pelvic rest I think it is ok. But I think it would be rather uncomfortable!
is it?
=]
i don't see why not...lol as long as you and your guy can fit at the same time i guess it would be fine. lol i barely fit by myself!!!
Sure. Just be sure to use the right snorkel.
As long as your comfortable, you can have sex until the 9th month and anywhere is fine.
no way!!! your not supposed to have sex in ANY water at ANY time.. so i would say ESPECIALY not pregnant... water getting in there isent good it causes infections and could harm the baby.. try the shower?
why not as long as you are confortable with it,
Just don't let the water get too hot.
As long as the water is not too hot...
It's never OK to have sex in the bath or a hot tub. The warm water breeds bacteria. Do it in the shower. It'll be easier to get up anyway :-)

How do u clean a bath tub ?
?How do u clean a bath tub ?
With a scouring pad and vinegar concentrate. How do u clean a bath tub ?
well if it's really bad fill it to the top and throw in about 8 denture cleaning tablets. Let it sit about 30 minutes then drain it till there's a few inches of water left and use that with a scrub pad to clean the gunk off. Then to keep up on it clean it normal once a week, just get some product from the store in the cleaning aisle that says it's for bathrooms, like soft scrub. Make sure it says disinfecting
After I find the kind of cleaner I like, my favorite tool is a sponge on a telescoping pole, so I don't have to get on my knees and half crawl in the tub. I ordered mine from the Vermont Country Store. (I like spray Comet on my tub.) The denture tablets is a great idea! I use one tablet to soak my jewelry.
make sure you scrub every last inch of it and get all the gunk off use a good all purpose cleaner but leave it to soak for a few minutes then wash off. Make sure you get it all off before you have a bath too because it can make you skin burn if you haven't washed it all off properly.

How could someone steal a bath tub from a hotel?
i would like to know, a bath tub is not some thing you could slip into your bag.
like one of the previous answers it had to be an inside job, yakuza no doubtHow could someone steal a bath tub from a hotel?
It got stuck on fat American's butt. How could someone steal a bath tub from a hotel?
Astounding, isn't it?? Saw it in the papers yesterday.
If the security of the place sort of 'missed it', you surprised that anything flips past those fools? (weapons, terrorists...?)
We are certainly in good hands.
When it is in gold.
Why not?
Just cut it into pieces.
Then just check-out with the baggage.
Magic, inside job, or just plain lazy security guards.
lol wow never heard of that before
ya, it is a bit difficult..

No you can't!!! Stingrays can hurt you really bad. There are box jellyfish and stingrays in my bath tub... should i keep on soaking?

certainly!
keep right on soaking, but make sure your hair is dry before you get out of the bath tub, and you might get hungry for some toast or bagels so be sure and use the toaster too!!!
*some ppl really need a life!*
sure
Maybe. I hope you have on chainmail or a suit-of-armor. If you are trying to kill yourself, I'd recommend dropping a toaster or blow-dryer in there. How did you end up with jellies %26amp; rays in your bathtub anyways????

Myc cat spooky keeps going in to the bath tub and crys what should i do?
Just cuddle Spooky and offer her some water :-) Our kitten did strange meows/cries when she was younger, but she grew out of it...Myc cat spooky keeps going in to the bath tub and crys what should i do?
give it a bath!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Myc cat spooky keeps going in to the bath tub and crys what should i do?
I will be the alarmist here.
That would be an immediate signal to me to check if your cat is able to urinate. He could be blocked with crystals in his urine and he will die within forty-eight hours if this is not taken care of.
If you have absolute evidence of urination you have a little time. Call a vet in the morning and asked if you should bring him in.
Otherwise it is the emergency vet tonight or you may lose him.
My cat does the same thing they want water right out of the tap. Once they get used to it that becomes a hard habit to break
he want's the water to drip so he can drink from it. Mine does the same thing.
Yeah..he is probably thirsty. My cat does that in the sink.
My cat will only drink from running water in the bath tub.
sounds like he is having trouble urinating. If you have not noticed any urine in the litter box or tub he would be blocked and needs to be seen NOW by a vet. If he goes for too long without urinating he can become toxic and die. do not wait, get him in SOON!!
dont know
Mine has done that when she is thirsty and wants water.
Fill the tub up with water. He wants to go swimming. He told me so.
Turn the tap on gently and let Spooky have a drink of running water. Some of them prefer it that way, the finicky little things. Of course, you could always try to bathe him or her. That would certainly put a stop to this behavior -- unless, of course, you have one strange kitty.
you shouldnt of named it spooky its scary thats why it does that
take him out of the bathroom and shut the bathroom door
Mine loves to watch me take a bath and also loves to drink the warm water. It's funny.
Is he/she fixed? Maybe he/she needs to go potty :)

Over the bath tub is durock cement board enough by itself,or it has to be something else under durock...?
You need to attach the durock to the studs behind it. I am assuming you will then cover the durock with tile and grout and caulk it, that will keep the moisture out of the walls. Nothing has to cover the stud walls behind unless this is to be a steam shower (much more prep will be needed)Over the bath tub is durock cement board enough by itself,or it has to be something else under durock...?
If the tub wall is on an outside wall it should be insulated %26amp; then sealed with plastic, then durock, then the tile.
For sound purposes you can insulate the other walls also.Over the bath tub is durock cement board enough by itself,or it has to be something else under durock...?
some framing would be nice ..but the Duroc is sufficient
There has to be done more then that.
1st I would check your local codes 1st some say yes some say no.
But when you have the wall apart you should insulate and put plastic up. This will do a few things It will deadin the sound and if you ever put in a steamer or anything else the walls will be preped. Plus doing this will not cost you much at all. Maybe 100bucks if that. Its much better to do it now then later Plus if you sell your house Its a good thig to say.
Hey if you want to do this or that The walls are ready for whatever you want to do.
Im a Plumber for 20yrs and everytime I run into this and I tell them sorry I cant put in a steamer or other things cuz it aint up tp code and so on.
So take the extra time and money and do it correct.
If you just want to doit quick and not care then use d-rock make sure you do the seams and the CORRECT SCREWS!!!
Goodluck
Do NOT use green wallboard in a tub/shower area. Most building codes no longer allow it to be used in areas that are constantly wet. It does not stand up well in the event that it becomes saturated, and it will support the growth of mold. You're on the right track by using Durock (or similar cementitous backer boards.)
Greenboard can be used in other non-wet areas that are subject to high humidity conditions.
There's no requirement (USA) to put anything behind the durock located over your tub. If you're planning on using it (not already installed) I would consider switching to green board. It is much cheaper and most of all, lighter. Green board is only sheetrock that has been waterproofed - and it works well. If you are installing durock, ensure you ';securely'; attach it to the joists above the tub. Also, if installing any lights, fans etc over the tub, the sheetrock is much easier to cut and affix fixtures.
Good luck

Does any one have any recipes for bath salts or scrubs or bath tub ideas we want to make some baskets!?
A craft store will have do-it-yourself spa kits that have materials for salts, scrubs, fizzies, and soap.
You can also get dyes (only use the kind for soap) and scents and soap bases.
You can make a sugar scrub by mixing equal amounts of sugar and vegetable glycerin and a few drops of scent or color.
You can make herbal sachets out of a little muslin (or gauzy material) pouches filled with dried herbs (like lavender or dried rose petals). Or you can fill a jar with dried herbs and include a tea infuser (you don't want loose plants floating in the water. They stick to you)
You can make an eye mask or neck warmer out of some nice soft material and rice (I add a little dried lavender too).
I would also include a nice thick towel or natural loofah.
You can do a google search on homemade soaps or spa items and get tons of ideas
And put a rubber duck in the basket. Everybody loves rubber ducks.Does any one have any recipes for bath salts or scrubs or bath tub ideas we want to make some baskets!?
Easy, use salt, sugar, or kosher salt, (depending on body scrub or hand and foot scrub) and then fill with olive oil Extra virgin. Scent with essential oils or perfume oils. Theres also some bath fizzy recipes you can find online and press them into baking molds and use regular food coloring. Try

It is a Victoria's Secret Angel's trick to mix sugar in with bath products for a great body exfloliant (scrub).. I suggest getting something like Suave or something cheap, adding a few ingredients of your own if needed (natural aloe, cucumber extract) and adding plain old white sugar.

Bath Tub Help?
Moved have an older jet bath tub, when I turn on the jets black stuff comes out the holes, Mold or mild dew, How do I clean them? So this doesn't happen, other then that it works good. Need advise.Bath Tub Help?
There is a GREAT product called Whirlout that you may want to consider. It cleans mildew, soap scum, and mold out of whirlpools, spas, or anything with jets. I buy mine at Lowe's but you can do a store locater on their site to find somewhere close to you to buy it.

I personally don't have a jet tub so maybe this is is not to be used in them, but I think a small amount of bleach would do a good job. It will kill the mold/mildew in the lines.
Fill the tub to the jet line and add a cup or two of bleach and run the jets. If you don't like bleach, use white vinegar (I'd probably use a whole gallaon) instead and just let the jets kind of flush out
Use a mild addition of bleach (a quart or so per tub), and let it run a while, then turn off pump and let the solution soak an hour or so. Drain, rinse, and repeat. It may take several treatments to flush it all out. Make sure that, if there's a filter, remove it first, then replace it when the system is cleaned out.
I would use an old toothbrush and some Soft Scrub to actually clean the jets. Then fill up your tub and put in some dish washing tablets in the water and let it run for about 15 to 20 minutes. That usually works for me.
Have you tried circulating baking soda and vinegar through the lines?
I think you need to run it for awhile, and then check if there's a filter for the source of the mildew.dermatologist acne

I dropped my mp3 in the bath tub any suggestions?
Take it apart if you can and use a hair dryer on a low setting after shaking out the excess. Get it completely dry and wait 24 hours. Put it back together and it should work. If not, get a new one but it should still work.I dropped my mp3 in the bath tub any suggestions?
Um...see if the mp3 has a...uh, what are they called...those 30 day guarantees or 2 year guarantees or something. maybe they'll give you a new one...or you can just check and see if it still works.I dropped my mp3 in the bath tub any suggestions?
Into the bin it goes!
blowdry it ..............find your receipt and return it.then get a new one.
ask for new one for x-mass
Don't try to play it. Turn it off. Open it apart. Dry it out, and let it air out for a day or longer if necessary. There's a fairly good chance that it will still work.
dry it off, sell on ebay then buy a new one.
Try drying it off as much as you can and let it sit, or take it to a Radioshack or something and have them check it. If none of those work, but a iPod Shuffle...their cheap!
Take out the battery and let it dry for at least a day. Shake out the water. Even if, after you put in the battery %26amp; nothing happens, give in another day or two.

My cat keeps pooping in the bath tub...?
I've tried filling the bath tub with water but he just goes in it once it drains, He is about over a year old and he has been using the litter box for a year, but in September he started using the bath tub. I've been keeping the box clean but he still goes in there! Help?My cat keeps pooping in the bath tub...?
Just keep the bathroom door closedMy cat keeps pooping in the bath tub...?
If you really want this behavior to stop you can try this method I used it on my cat and it works and doesn't harm your cat. Clean the area (tub) with vinegar and then put a little on your finger and touch your cats nose and he won't like the vinegar and he won't poop where he smells the vinegar. The cat I had would poop in the closet and I did this and it worked. I hope this helps.
This may work for your cat: Put some mothballs in a couple of containers in the bathtub, this should dissuade him from going there at all. You will of course have to remove the containers to use the tub and then replace them.
Um, not to sound rude, but I would definitely NOT use that tub.
And I agree with the vinegar thing.

I put my tv in the bath tub cause it was dusty and know it is not working?
i thuoght my tv was dirty and put it in the bathtub and know it is not turning on help meI put my tv in the bath tub cause it was dusty and know it is not working?
You submersed it in water? Are you joking? You can't put electronic items underwater! I hope you're kidding!I put my tv in the bath tub cause it was dusty and know it is not working?
Just not a good idea at all... really not a good idea... sensitive electronics that use a LOT of electricity and bath tubs do not mix. If the TV was a CRT tv (Heavy and big with a glass screen), that could have been really dangerous. They store a charge for a very long time... next time you think a TV's dusty, use a vacuum cleaner. It's very likely that water got in the TV. If that happened it's ruined.
why would u put it in the bath tub.... all you needed to do was wipe it with a wet cloth...
i think the insides are fried... maybe you should dry it out and try again?
answer mines?

Well duh! you probably got the inside wet! You should never get electronics wet. Give it a few days to dry out and maybe if you don't get electrocuted first it will work for you.
Sorry to tell you this, but you need a new TV, TVs were not designed to be to be in contact with water, so you accidentaly killed it.
Your luckey your still alive unpluged tvs hold very high voltage.
